Subject: RE: Sulphur in rain?

Tenn Valley
There is very little sulfur in the rain now as the coal fired plants have scrubbers or have shut down and diesel fuel has been cleaned up. Also, any protein made by a field crop is consuming 15-20 lbs of sulfur. In the last 10 years we've pulled our reserves out of the ground. Our crops, especially cotton, is responding to the addition of sulfur. My preference, because of cost, is 90% elemental sulfur applied with urea post.
