S Illinois | With the wet weather in many of the areas that have had their final planting day pass or is less than 5 days away, has the decision been made? Areas in the mid Mississippi Delta and SE KS, SW MO, the final planting day has actually passed already. Only 4 working days left including today in a large section of the western corn belt including much of the Dakotas, so likely getting close enough to have a good feeling on what would actually be able to get done before that final planting day.
Are the PP guarantees of a high enough $ level it make it an easy choice and would this cause producers not to mud or push planting in marginal conditions. It just seems like a lot of posts are along the lines of “well we will probably have a lot of PP”. I would assume most of the numbers have been ran so when does that switch to “this many acres will be PP’d”? | |
