Grind up egg shells, the finer the better, and distribute them around the plant. Keep watered. Blossom end rot is caused by calcium deficiency but often times there is adequate calcium in the soil but moisture is lacking. The plant needs water to take up the calcium. If you want to get really fancy, apply calcium ammonium nitrate,,, and again keep watered.
