An Ag Leader 6500 or 7500 can be configured as either a base or rover. It can be used with external 3rd party radios. You should be able to connect one of your external freewave radios to 6500/7500.
Bonus: the 6500 and 7500 are both supplied by Novatel to Ag Leader. You should be able to configure either as rover and use with your existing novatel base if you wanted to.
