Saronville NE
I remember some ldp. But not the others. I had lots of alfalfa and cows at the time. Doing lots of custom haying. Lots better times then now.

What most seem to forget is fuel was cheap. Shop rate was $35 an hour. You could buy a new 8410 for $100k same thing now is $400k. Bought new 92 Chevy diesel Silverado pickup for $20k now $50k. Rent here was what our land tax's are now. I bought lots of cows for $400 then and could sell calves for 2/3-3/4 of that the next yr.

Whole problem now is how crazy insane things have gotten. Inputs will take yrs to come down to $2+ corn again. Worst thing ever happened was when corn went to $7.

I bought a new 24 ft traveling bull special stock trailer in 02 for $6350 they are double that now.
New cih 16 ft swing tounque swather in 99 for 19k they are way more then double now.
New 12 wheel rake for $2150 in 03.
Really nice low bale 535 baler in 99 for $10k used now be 3.5 times that.
New 01 Dodge Cummins pickup for $32500 with leather. Twice that now.
4k hr 4650 for $26k in 01 ran it till 8k hours got $23k back outa it.

1100 hr 3830 JD windrower in 02 gave $13k on farm sale. Ran it till 07 traded for a hw340 disc mower got $16k on trade for it.
Traded for 29k
All examples of how much more reasonable stuff was and could afford it. Unlike now.
