Central Iowa | No the people getting paid are growers with grain bins, they used them, and a freak incident happened that no one could predict. If you sold your grain ahead of time you would still be a loser if the markets rallied into the summer. This event had zero impact on you at all. The livestock thing might be an issue, but for grains this is exactly how it should be.
You guys saying you are upset because you out-marketed everyone else is such a joke. Even with this payment to guys who have grain, selling last fall might still be the better option. I made cash sales for under $3 this spring because I needed money. | |
