Subject: RE: Forgive me, John

Northwest Iowa
My wife makes a mean batch of Lasagna from time to time. Never exactly the same from one batch to the next as she doesn't use a recipe. I'd miss that more than other types of pasta. She hasn't made it in a while, though. On a different note,though-- I have to take Allipurinol for gout. I have had high uric acid in my blood so was predisposed. I have no interest in waiting to see if I could go without the med!
Friend had said while he was impressed with the weight loss from keto (me too), he didn't want to eat that much meat and deal with gout. I haven't had a flair up in 3 years, but take 4 pills a day. I know the Dr's nurse well and I asked if the Allipurinol could cause kidney stones, as I had read that possibility. She said none of their patients had any problem. I haven't really changed my diet after the gout attack. Plenty of meat, lettuce, and some beer. Gout attacks are a painful SOB! Any info out there?
