coast of Maine | Here a hedge of arborvitae(white cedar) lives 200 years.Trees can be found in the wild,train to a wall shape,grandfather planted hedge here in the 30 S here,still there.Takes 6 years to get closed in,trim every year a bit,deer will eat it if you have lots forget it,dad planted one 20 years ago at moms ,fabulous for road privacy and noise reduction,wind break also.But hey I have said it before,trees grow here as well as corn in Iowa.Temporary stockade fence,will fall down about time cedars are grown in. | |
