Subject: Pioneer sales

I would appreciate your opinion. I currently am a dairy nutritionist and travel up to 325 miles per day at my expense. I have an adequate number of clients but the prospects for more are limited due to the lack of dairies in my territory. I do not have the Mercer County, Ohio area. Also, I wonder how long some of them will be in the business given the economics of the situation. Most daries are 50 to 150 cows with the principle operator being 50 years old. For a while I have been thinking of changing off farm careers.

I have an opportunity to be a Pioneer dealer in a territory with no dealer in it for a long time. This is in a good grain area of western Ohio. The farthest distance from home would be about 30 miles one way. I must believe in a product or I cannot in good conscious represent it. I am not a used car salesman. In the past I have planted some Pioneer seed and was okay with it.

What are your thoughts and opinions on my situation and being a Pioneer representative?

Thanks,

Jim
