Subject: Youth Leadership Day

Macon, MO
Today I took 4 young ag students from Macon Co. MO to Missouri Farm Bureau Youth Leadership Day. We took a tour of our state capital and had a chance to sit down with both our State Senator and House Representative and talk to them about important issues involving agriculture. There was around 200 young people from across the state of Missouri that attended, that are involved mostly in ag either through FFA or 4-H that attended this day's events. After a few hours at the capital we returned to the Farm Bureau office and David C. Frazier gave a motivational speach that even had the attention of the adults, he spoke on how to be leader and it's OK to get out of your comfort zone to do things that you don't normally do day to day. I have been going for several years now and it is great to see these young individuals show the leadership that they do to improve ag and be leaders in a industry that has been hit pretty hard by enviromentalist and other extremist that are trying to destroy our way of life, it is a great feeling that these will be our future leaders especially in times like we are in now.
