Hiawatha, KS | I have a question for dronedude: I watched the Skydio 2 test video's and was wondering if a Mavic 2 or an EVO would be a better cost effective solution? The drone, one battery, and some props in a soft case is around $999. But the beacon and the remote are $145 each and sold separately. Which puts it up at or just above the cost for a Mavic or EVO. Hands down I'd go with the Mavic 2 in this situation as it's follow me feature allows for more terrain elevation changes. I like my EVO but it won't follow very well (if at all) down a hill. Plus there is low light issues with the Skydio 2 where it will refuse to fly if the light conditions are not met. I like the idea of an autonomous drone but I like being able to fly mine in low light when I have to. Any thoughts or suggestions? | |
