From then I moved onto smoked herring. And now smoked oysters and anchovies have taken over along with beef jerky. If I can get away to do some fishing, fried crappie will soon be on the menu.
My last surviving aunt said she doesn’t know how us men can stand sardines or oysters. So I sent her a recipe for oyster stew. Her reply in a text was, “YUCK!” .
