| An old couple were talking one day about all the years of marriage & the wife asks the husband if he was always faithful? & he replied that he had strayed but once & had never considered doing so again! He then ask the wife the same question & she got up & walked out of the room & promptly returned with a shoe box in her hands. She sat down opened the box & began to explain that she also had strayed & she had put a memento in the box to represent the occasion. She told her husband each time she strayed she put a kernel of corn in the box - she then showed him the contents of the box which included 3 kernels & twenty dollars in cash. The husband said after counting the kernels - "That's not so bad after all these years. But what's the cash for?

And she replied "When corn got to five dollars a bushel I started selling it!!!"
