I certainly don't know you, and our paths have never crossed, however I understand what you have gone through and what you are currently going through. Depression and mental illness is certainly NOT a sign of weakness, it is nothing to be ashamed of and it is not "your fault" You are a courageous person to lay it all out here for those to share with you. You are approaching this situation the correct way, and I would say you are on your way to recovery. Lean on those you trust and feel close too. Talk openly and honestly to medical providers and counslers that you can trust and do not be afraid of medication, it is not a crutch and it is vital in your recovery. Please remember this did not happen overnight and will not go away overnight. Keep up the positive approach and I will remember you in my prayers.
