Southern MB
We have this old 400 versatile that has been sitting around for awhile now that is not much use to us. The header is shot but the rest of the unit works pretty good considering how old it is. Kinda tired of it sitting around and no one is interested in buying it so I thought maybe I should turn it into something. Only problem is that I have no idea what I could use it for. Anyone else have an old 400 and turned it into something usefull again?

some guys around here turned the tractor part into a machine that pulls hang gliders into the air. mounted on a trailer and built a hydraulic winch on the front

I knew a guy that turned an old 103 into a sprayer. Put the tank and booms up front. Wouldn't be for me. Probably not for anyone else either, but it's a thought. Also, around here a lot of old swathers had the headers gutted and used to clip CRP acres.

Saw one at an auction sale last year not too far from here & he had turned it into a high-clearance sprayer! I dont remember how wide the booms were.lol So, problem solved, cuz everyone wants a high-clearance sprayer, you can advertise it as that!
btw, where abouts are you in SW MB? getting flooded? Sure is a lot of water up here too.

I am near Morris. We are going to be getting majorly flooded here shortly. Farm yard will have about 6 feet of water in it. Luckily everything is way up on a dirt pad so we should be good to go.

I may be interested in that if the price is right, I know a guy who is selling the hay crimper header for the 400. It would be great for opening feilds. Let me know.

I saw one with a big grain auger mounted on it. Made a self propelled, self powered auger.
Swather header drive turned the auger and swather hydraulics raised / lowered both ends of the auger.

I wish I had it. I would mount my 10 foot Woods mower on the front, or a snow blower.
