When we talk about low carb/ketogenic diets, many people have the question "yes you can lose weight, but what about cholesterol?". I have linked lots of videos by Ivor Cummins and Dave Feldman (both excellent) concerning this subject. Here is another researcher presenting some brand new study results showing that LDL is not the "bad cholesterol" it is made out to be. The body creates LDL in the liver for very specific functions. It is when the LDL becomes oxidized and small dense that it becomes a problem with heart disease. Native LDL has actually been shown to be associated with living longer at higher levels. Anyway some new research for anyone interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iiIQ3rodTY&t=1503s One of the best presentations by a heart surgical doctor I have seen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8A-BEm8xtW0 I'll also put a couple links to these in case anyone missed them in the previous dozen pages on KT if a person wants to delve into it. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ivor+cummins+cholesterol https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dave+feldman+cholesterol+ John
