Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I have 3 landlords who lease out their ground for hunting that I farm for. They are not involved except for getting a check every year. I don't even know how much they receive. But I LIKE it. The guy that runs the leasing business watches over the land and I never have to worry about people being on there that shouldn't be there. He has a few tree stands and keeps ATV traffic on the edge of the field. I have never had a problem.
Another thing is, this guy knows who he is letting on there and keeps them in line. I seldom ever see anyone. We just go on about our business. And he will not allow anyone on there unless they have paid him to be there.
He sends me a gift certificate every Christmas. That's kind of nice. I have only met the guy once in 7 years. |
