Any idea how much that would cost? Seems like even simple jobs on this tractor have come back $3,000+ anymore


If you think it might need a brake job, pull your sump screen. If it has brass colored flakes, and pieces of brake lining on it, your brakes are going out. If it has nothing on it to speak of, you don't need a brake job. If it has small pieces of powershift clutch pack facings on it, then something is going haywire in the trans/pto.

Generally, the first sign of needing a brake job is either rough sounding brakes, or hyd issues. (From a plugged sump screen) It's not abnormal for hydraulic oil to turn somewhat dark after time, it can get that way when it's time to change. (If you don't add much oil between changes.)

My next step would be to pull your sump screen. If it has any significant amount of debris on it, post some pics of it if you're not sure what you are looking at.
