Subject: RE: JD vs IH headers

McCanna, ND
Have the old style 1020 with the bearing wobble box vs oil bath. It works pretty good but wears the poly skid shoes faster then our 930 Deere. Have a 930 Deere with a crary air reel. Don’t like the air reel vs the air bar due to adjustability and more moving parts. I don’t think the Deere cuts as low as the IH, but the skid shoes wear forever compared to the IH. Really I’d buy whatever I could get a deal on and base the influence some on dealer support.

The Deere 43/93 row units are bullet proof and cheap to repair, I would take that hands down.
