put your push rods in the first 2 holes, turn the crank until they are both even and your timing mark on the flywheel shows TDC. Then turn it 1 revolution and watch the push rods at TDC again. You will see the difference. So, the first sentence should be clear in your mind. This gets the cam at TDC and crank at TDC, assuming you did not remove the cam? but I think the oil pump needs timed also. I don't recall that procedure at the moment. Someone else will chime in here. Google 4020 injection pump timing. Lot of information is there.
