ND | Around the years of the early to mid 90's Jockeys would bring tractors up from the area's of red dirt & cotton balls & sell to some JD dealers like 4430's especially & these tractors would be an easy Ten Thousand less than what a dealer could sell a local one for. If they had trouble it would usually be the lower 3 pt arms the seals would go out where they went into lower case & red dirt & cotton behind the cowling--they were always painted on the mid chassis on down & always had new back tires but no duals. You could call them the Price Fighters. Suppose cotton would wear the paint off the bellies of the tractor hence New Paint--its funny they did not remove the cowling & wash out but I was told it was like putting a new dress on a painted lady. | |
