Subject: RE: JD 7210 viscous fan bearing

Northeastern Pa.
Tractor has 5700 +- hrs. showing. It's working fine but has some slop in it. I don't want it going through the radiator. It's supposed to rain the next few days so I thought if it wasn't a bad job I'd fix it. Oh by the way 9400 I got thrown a bone on this tractor. Someone put grease fittings on the mwfd hubs on the inside. I couldn't find any grease fittings there in the op manual but gave them a few shots during service. I got done disking yesterday and there was oil all over the hub like it had blown a seal. Put it on the trailer and brought it home. That grease fitting spring had gone bad and was throwing oil out. I found out that it's supposed to have plugs there not a grease fitting. Kind of goes along with the hr. meter thread above. This was a 2x jockey tractor. I bought it at an auction not knowing it. I got it cheap and it's been good for us 5 years now. You always have good info.
