Yes, very variable.

Last fall there was a heavy but spotty rain event that caused severe flooding in some areas (Hutchinson county and also an area around Madison and Dell Rapids), while totally missing some others. I think those spots, particularly Hutchinson and perhaps another county or two west, have never dried out. There is more hope in Turner, Lincoln, and Union to get planted, but no guarantees there either. Tile helps a ton, but many don't have it.
