In southern Minnesota I would not try to rely on hay as a cash crop. The climate is too wet to consistently turn out good green dry hay. Corn and bean prices are really in the dumps right now but as an overall average year after year corn and beans will make you more money than hay. Grain is easier to market at the local elevator and the check will be good.
