Central Illinois | The 4020 was our big tractor when dad retired. At one time, in my youth, our stable was a 4020, 4010, 4010, D17 & Super M. Those were the glory days and I couldn't begin to tell you how many 100's of acres we farmed. The acres declined over time, in part, because he didn't grow with the times. He was satisfied with the size of the operation and didn't want me to stay on the farm.
My point being, if you are going to grow then you should consider a tractor a bit bigger than you need now so you are only upgrading equipment in the near future, not tractors and equipment. An oversized tractor will pull everything a 4020 will pull. | |
