Thanks for the response. Yes, irrigation would definitely be beneficial for this type of cropping system. Here in Iowa, there is not much irrigation....The soil holds quite a bit of water, and we usually get timely rainfall. I'm assuming Indiana is similar in weather and soil (for the most part!)

So when you guys in Kansas double crop wheat and soybeans, how do you report that to the USDA? Do they count those acres twice? and how does the crop insurance work?
