Subject: Welding electrode "Jet" rod, or 7024 question.

Or ee gun
Looking for experience using "jet rod" or e7024 to fill a joint between two pieces of sheet steel, broke 90 degree. The pieces will be structurally joined otherwise, but I wish to have a completely smooth and ground surface on top after joining the two pieces. By top I mean at the 90-degree broke joint.

Will 7024 be the electrode of choice? The fill does not require any structural specifications to it. It just needs to be very high deposition, and hopefully reasonably low deformation as the weld cools. Is there a another electrode or wire that can accomplish this? Or is 7024 my best choice?

Thank you.
