Lancaster, OH | I've been trying to minimize carbs since late December. I am a slight Type 2 diabetic who spends about 20 hours a week driving across states so I was heavy into drive through lunches, good suppers at restaurants. So, that would be Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner on the road for 3-4 days a week and one or two dinners with the family out on the weekends.
My new diet has been no carbs at breakfast (eggs/meat), low carb protein shake with vitamins for lunch, maybe nuts for a snack, no carbs with dinner and included a few beers while traveling, small bowl of ice cream at night.
I'm 5'9" and 61 years old and have dropped from about 210 to 182 this morning. I find that I am not satisfied until dinner but I'm not really hungry, either. Also, I have not had a "low blood sugar" feeling in a couple of months.
I'm anxious to have another blood panel done as soon as I feel it is wise to go to the lab. | |
