So you think that's the only source of water in diesel fuel?
A 5,000-gallon tank that's nearly empty on a high humidity night dropping 40° internal temperature which is easy to happen in a Sun exposed tank, will pull in over a gallon of moisture That may or may not drop out.


so is that with a pressure regulated vent or just a open one

I guess my air up here is not holding that much with the proper vents
