| on a two stage farm,our brood house started 16000,when the grown birds leave you put half (8000) in one grow-out and half in the other. On 2 stage farm the brood space gets very packed as they grow. if they get sick in the crowded condition it spreads very quick,med are not very effective in this enviroment,so when grown birds leave farm you move to grow-outs with much more space. can get more detailed,birds in front of brood ussally get sick first,they have the worst air.this is tunnel barn. im just a farmer who was very good at raising turkeys in confined space. was grower of the year 7 times- also had as many awards for liveabilty. top 10 all 17 years. no special degrees,school of hard knocks. love my family and friends. couped up is a problem,no easy answer. not giving anyone med advice. life is fragile. my 2 cents. | |
