NW Indiana | Sure that scenario could cause some inflation by I would be skeptical on any runaway inflation. We have had ultra low interest rates for over a decade and haven't had much inflation. Keep in mind inflation doesn't mean it impacts all assets equally in price appreciation. Just because there is more dollars to compete for goods doesn't mean all goods go up in nominal value. If there is a glut of corn the price won't necessarily rise, therefore land values might not rise(actually I believe they are declining as we speak). As the fed offsets its record large balance sheet it will drive interest rates up, which has been one of the largest catalyst to higher land values imo.
Basically I don't understand why anyone would be wanting to bid 6 month old land values when they can start seeing the oversupply of grains we are facing. Actually I don't understand why anyone would prefer to buy land vs equities at this point.
