Subject: Case-IH MX transmission pressure warning-FYI

West Central Iowa
I have a customers MX210 here that has been setting off trans code 0147, which is regulated system pressure below 290 psi. I have warmed up the hyd oil and while I can not get it to set the code for me, I was pretty sure we have a leak in the even clutch. The tractor monitor was showing a pressure of 2320-2350 KP at 1500 RPM (336-340PSI) in the odd gears and 2020-2040KP (293-295PSI) in the even gears. I thought I had read somewhere that the transmission jumper supply tubes were plastic and that they sub to a new number, so I was hoping that is where our problem was. Anyway I tore it down over the weekend and the even clutch supply tube was cracked. We are pretty confident that the operator did not run it long enough to hurt the clutch pack as the pressure just barley got low enough to set the warning code. I guess I am posting this to make owners aware that if they have any transmission system pressure warnings to get it checked out as serious transmission damage can result.

There are a total of 9 clutch supply tubes and we are changing all of them over to the new part number which is now a steel tube.

Crack is hard to see, but it is between the yellow paint marks.
