| Not necessarily. High population densities affect the rate of spread of the virus, not the severity of the virus’s effects on a person. Western medicine is great at keeping people with health issues alive well into old age. The virus appears to have a greater effect on those with underlying medical conditions and the older population in general. The diets of us westerners is not very conducive to good health either.
The virus doesn’t care about political systems, borders, or status in life. The main difference we have over less developed countries is the medical system so it’s likely best if we support and maintain that advantage. | |
