Have four Drs. In the family , trust me I am well informed. Wife is a nurse works in hospital. Stories are way overblown other than huge urban areas, which are also in question. Point being 5 times 8500 total deaths does not justify closing the country.


Problem is that we could be looking at 20 times your 8500 = 170,000 US deaths, possibly much higher with people promoting the "way overblown" attitude and not taking this seriously. I too have both a brother and a sister working in research departments at Mayo in Rochester, MN. Sister says she is working furiously with a team trying to come up with a vaccine. Too many armchair doctors out there that think they know better, calling it "just the flu". It will take longer to reach the countryside, but you are not immune in any way.
