Eastern South Dakota | I kind of disagree. The people in this country mix the words freedom and capitalism like they mean the same thing. We have capitalism because we are a free republic. Anywhere there is this kind of freedom, capitalism is the effect. Capitalism doesn’t exist without it in its purest form and It never can if the free society fails to understand the value of self governance and its inherent requirements that the people do what is right by choice instead of force. The loss of civil and moral society is a death low to freedom; and capitalism will fail and disappear as a result. I know This sounds a little idealistic and it is but you find a problem in capitalism and I’ll show you people making wrong decisions even thought they were free to make them. Even with imperfect people, our system has and will provide more people with the most opportunity than any other if we can do what we should. | |
