| You’d be better worrying about dying. Not sure what part of the serious cases people can’t understand. The whole ventilator is a savior mentality needs to be addressed and corrected. If you go on a ventilator due to Covid 19 there is less than an 11%chance you will survive. And those that do will not recover enough to have the vent removed. If you’ve ever had an older relative on life support, you’d understand the importance of a DNR. They just keep getting weaker and weaker until the family has to make the decision to turn off the machine. Not something I want to endure or make my loved ones choose.
Not trying to be cold hearted, but a person should be tested and if positive they get sent home with a portable oxygen tank. If that doesn’t save them it wasn’t meant to be. There are some exceptions where the other health issues a person has need to be monitored by medical staff. If people would take a more realistic approach to their chances of surviving the virus, the hospital’s wouldn’t be drowning in corpses. Still overwhelmed for sure, but not wasting time on triage. | |
