Nevada, Iowa | There is no correlation but Levamisole used to be used to help in the treatment of colorectal cancer. It was also extensively used as a livestock dewormer too. I don't know how many bottles of Ivermectin I had used over the years when raising hogs.
It was probably 20 years ago that I had a good friend and landlord fighting colon cancer. He won that fight and eventually passed on a few years ago in his mid 90's. He was a veterinarian and was given Levamisole in his treatment. I remember him telling me that he could get the dewormer pennies a dose. The hospital charges were several hundred for each shot. He always wagged his head in disgust at that. | |
