You’re still ignoring the other side of the equation, govt policy that greatly influences our ability to compete on an international scale.

We no doubt understand that subsided crop insurance and Arc/PLC type programs have some influence on the market, although I’ve never used them as a metric for renting or buying ground. Heck, I insure at low levels and have never collected other than some PP last year. ARC payments have been as close to non existent as they can be the last 5 years. So I guess personally, I don’t see how it’s been that much of a socialist state that I’ve relied on to survive. Maybe others are milking the system more than I am aware?

MFP we can discuss, although that plays into my whole point above that subsidized crop insurance and arc/plc have had little effect but govt policy has had a large impact on my ability to sell abroad. And that type policy/regulations is what I’m more concerned with fixing before govt programs.

It just blows my mind that in most of these comments everyone just rips programs and seems to believe it’ll be a capitalist utopia if they’re gone. Sorry guys, it won’t be. Fix the actual issue and let it heal, then get rid of the bandaid (govt programs).
