I am against socialism in theory however the govt is so deeply involved in ag now if they got out cold turkey it would be a disaster. No crop insurance subsidy, no crp, no ethanol mandates, no mfp.
there would be a crash that would make the 80 s look like a cakewalk. Not to mention the artificial interest rates by the fed. If the free market were allowed to function on its own we wouldnt have ZIRP.
