North Central Illinois | There was a lot more going on with the corn market than Covid19. With the continued slide of ethanol over the last couple of years corn was already struggling and it took a black swan event like Covid19 to further erode it. The Russian/Saudi oil war sending crude prices to $20 was the final straw for ethanol. Without the oil/ethanol issues corn would have held up to Covid19 much better. | |
