coast of Maine
Have 2 ,go with me everywhere except on a tractor. My pick up is known as the ':dog truck".Very important to expose them to kids and co sharing food etc as puppies.A way to get the food protection growl gone is as a pup lay down in his mid meal and try to eat his food multiple times.your face by his and he will never nip or growl as he ages on food,he will growl at first but cuff up under the chin(from under only ever)and you will have a very safe dog,Mine are traine d never to walk on asphalt, hopefully never get hit that way,its a very simple way as a pup to train to fear roads,my farm is split by a highway, they have never crossed roadway unless given a ride ,key is never with dogs.make them fear as a pup is important with roads but opposite with kids.
