Yes you can here in Ky. I got mine class A, a little over a year ago.
Got the med card then passed the written test.
I used a CDL test truck/rental to take the test in. They provide a video of the test. They provide a truck that is easy to pass the test in. I think cost was $350. I think it was worth it, I didn't have to get a driver and use my truck.
