King City, Mo | 3 years ago we got a tiller for the 1025r for our market garden. People started asking us to till their garden and we decided might as well get the garden till fee Vrs someone else and it actually helped produce and popcorn sales.
Normally I till 30-40 gardens by the end of may.
I started wed at 9am and didn’t get home till 10pm. No stops for food just had a cooler in the truck between gardens.
Then tilled Thursday from noon to 7ish as the rain didn’t amount to much.
I’ve tilled 24 different gardens already and with the ones north that I haven’t got to yet I’m already bumping 40......
Lots of new people, lots of new never before garden spots.
I’ve tilled grandmas old garden up that hasn’t had a garden for years as a grandchild is going to do a garden at gmas.
I tilled for a lady having a garden on the neighbors side of the property as they use to garden but can’t anymore but are gonna trade the space for produce from it.
So there’s some real neat things happening that the media and not everyone is going to see.
One grandpa we till for has been cutting back each year and this year we tilled up bigger then ever before as his granddaughter is going to help him.
I sanitized my hands every time
I got in the truck.
All checks and cash sprayed with Lysol, several pd via PayPal or square where we didn’t touch.
Some people I never met in person.
All done over text or fb messenger and PayPal.
Doesn’t make up for the events and fundraisers we have lost but it’s something coming in.
