| It’s April 3rd now and according to John’s Hopkins 57,675 people have died from Coronavirus, in just 8 more days since your image was made. How will people downplay it when it blows past seasonal flu, malaria, suicide, etc?
In places like Italy the death count is probably much higher. The elderly who they deem to old/sick for any treatment don’t get tested and therefore don’t get counted. They’ll get added in later. It’s easy to see how many people die in a region on average and how many have died recently. The numbers in the hotspots could be much higher. And yeah yeah, who cares about Italy? It could never happen here....
