North of London
The hot water from the out door furnace we have is all kept in the loop from the furnace.

Heat is transferred by rad with air forced through it or transferred through plates in her exchangers.
Water is heated with a 'sidearm' on electric water heater which allows heat to transfer by convection with not mixing of furnace and potable water.
Shop hot water is heated in a 'block' the size of a book by transfer between plates in it, no mixing.
Floor heat in shop is also transferred the same with separate water in floor from furnace water.
