| From my understanding it is not just a treatment, but also a preventative. It does not last as long as a vaccine though. You would likely have to be treated every month or two. It would however be valuable for front line medical workers- if it works. The article I read interviewed a scientist who said it should work, but they will probably wait a couple months to start a study and then it will take quite a while for the study. Of course it will have to be peer reviewed after that......
I'm not sure what is more compassionate, making sure it is completely safe before trying it, or trying it to keep people safe.
