South Central MN | At least the "pucks" are pretty cheap relatively speaking, using one for my gen2 20/20. The thing even tracks where I have been in the field! Done better than I thought it would have and on a plus side the maps made came in handy seeing where all the bad spots were for future tiling projects.
No autosteer though. Wonder how it would work with the old anteater that I plant with? (IH 6588 2+2) Those things have a delayed steering response, have to start the turn early as the rear of the tractor pulls straight for a few more feet, but when already in a turn they respond much quicker and you can end up running over what you were trying to go around if you don't remember that fact. However once you get used to the goofy steering they actually aren't that bad of a planter tractor. | |
