Why not burn through other countries ' $20 oil and leave ours in the ground for the future generations? Win-win and the free market will make this happe.....if Washington can keep their hands to themselves.

Still believing there is a limited supply of oil.. very 1980 of you.

Middle East was spose to run out when? And then agian when? And if I remember my 1990s highschool text book saying we are saving our reserves for 2000 when middle East is out of oil. Yea... No shortage.
In Texas alone there are untapped plays below the current shale regions. Offshore gulf oil has alot left too. Lots of oil left in this world. Resiviors found all the time.

I say we quit protecting strait of Hormuz. Why we help keep their oil hub safe on our dime is beyond me. Pull out of that region and Russia will probably be there the next hour and oil prices will skyrocket.

I agree use our oil in our country. Natura gas power plants make alot of sense too.
