Mid Michigan | That happened to a friend of mine. He was still in his 30's. Got a divorce and was living alone and fell down a two story flight of stairs. Got knocked out for more than a day lying on his arm bent wrong. They found him and he almost lost the arm from lack of circulation. Got him nursed back to health and back to work after about a year off and after a couple of months went off the deep end on the divorce and killed himself. My mother subscribed her older sister to one of the medical alert services and keeps it paid for her in another state. She was afraid she would fall and not have anybody help her. She has a lot of family around her but a couple of days can pass by without checking on them and it's too late. | |
