Southeast Colorado | I have been planting quite a bit lately. Last year wasn't good yield wise. This year probably won't have any due to NO sub moisture. Kind of kicking around not even planting any irrigated this year. Between the dismal market outlook and lack of rain/snow I'm starting to pencil in something more livestock related. We did plant about 15% of our available acres to oats already. We've got haying equipment and baled anything made a lot more money than grain last season.
With that said..............goofy govt payments make me leery of completely parking the planter. | |
